An uncapped green pen with gold hardware lays on a white sheet page of paper. The paper is cropped but shows the right edge of several swatches of green inks of various shades. The paper is held down by a sturdy metal paper clasp featuring a design that includes a cat sitting upright, a crescent moon, stars, and a decorative plant

Every year, our resident transit expert, John R., puts together a handy guide for traveling to the San Francisco International Pen Show and back home to Washington State in one day. No need for luggage, a rideshare, or a hotel!

This year's show is August 2730 at the Westin San Francisco Airport Hotel in Millbrae, CA.

View John’s guide as a Word document or a PDF. (Both files should be screen-reader accessible.)

Many thanks to John for putting this together!

Will you be attending? We highly recommend writing “Seattle Pen Club” on your badge to help you find other Seattleites and pen friends from the PNW generally in the California crowd! You can also make plans to meet up with fellow enthusiasts via our Facebook group or Discord server.

If you attend and would like to make a report of your experience attending the show at an upcoming in-person meeting, please reach out!

Safe travels!
